History
We are an academic group of recent formation (1999) made up of teachers, researchers and grantees, even though some of our members had already been working on topics closely connected to this project. We carry out teaching, research, transference and extension activities.
As teachers, we are in charge of the courses of Agricultural Microbiology (compulsory), Soil Biological Activity (optional) and we coordinate environmental Impact Management and Assessment (optional).
As regards research, experimentation and transference, our activity follows three lines of work: soil biological activity, utilization of organic residues through compost and vermiculture and inoculation of commercial crops. In all three cases, the focus is related to the productive activity of the region. Most of the activity is focused on experimentation. We have been awarded three distinctions in the areas of ecology and field experimentation.
We participate in this BIOSPAS project because of some of the topics we have been studying and would like to study further, in order to consolidate the group, develop these topics at the level of integration and interrelation the project demands and form human resources.
