Mathematical Statistics and its Applications

Department of Mathematics
Faculty of Exact Sciences
National University of La Plata

History

Statistical methods allow us to draw conclusions from experimental data with uncontrollable variability, quantify the evidence contained in the data and establish guidelines for more accurate experiments.

The Statistics group of the Department of Mathematics, functioning since 1980, has been creating new methodological tools and applying existing ones to problems reported by Science and Technology researchers.
